Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lift Repair, Maintenance and Callout Technician to join our team on a full-time basis. The role requires the ability to diagnose and repair a wide range of lift faults, conduct regular maintenance checks and provide prompt callout service to ensure minimum downtime for our clients. The successful candidate will work Monday – Friday 8-5 with the potential for overtime.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular maintenance and safety checks on a wide range of lift equipment to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and manufacturer’s guidelines.
- Respond to emergency callouts promptly and efficiently to diagnose and rectify lift faults, ensuring minimum downtime for our clients.
- Conduct detailed fault-finding and repair work on a wide range of lift systems, including hydraulic, traction, and MRL (machine room-less) lifts.
- Accurately diagnose and report lift faults, recommending the most appropriate course of action to rectify the issue.
- Install and commission new lift systems, ensuring they meet manufacturer’s specifications and comply with health and safety regulations.
- Provide technical support and guidance to other members of the team as required.
Maintain accurate records of work carried out, parts used, and time taken for invoicing purposes. - Liaise with clients and building managers to arrange access and keep them informed of progress and any issues encountered.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in lift maintenance and repair work, including fault-finding and diagnosis of complex lift systems.
- Knowledge of a wide range of lift equipment, including hydraulic, traction, and MRL lifts.
Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and guidelines, as well as manufacturer’s guidelines and best practices. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good time management and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- A full clean UK driving license.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, night call
- Opportunity for overtime as required.
- Relevant qualifications and certifications, such as NVQ Level 3 in Lift Engineering or equivalent.
