Franklin House – Winchester

We are excited to share our latest installation project at Franklin House, Winchester.

The job consisted of:

  1. Removal of closed protocol outdated systems
  2. Fully prepared lift shaft
  3. Painting and sealing of area
  4. And the installation a 630kg, 8person Traction MRL Lift Package ‘One Lift’ at the modernised and prestigious office premises.

Benefits to the customer are:

  1. Fully open protocol system
  2. 20 year life expectancy
  3. Next day spare parts

The works commenced on 5th September 2022 with the finished product handed over to an exceptionally happy client on the 20th September 2022.

Ibis Styles Hotel – Walthamstow

VM Elevators Ltd. are proud to announce the successful completion of our latest lift installation project at the prominent Ibis Styles hotel, London Walthamstow.

 

The job consisted  of the removal and replacement of 4 stop hydraulic lift to 1 meter per second 630kg traction ‘One Lift’ product. The project was completed in an outstanding 10 weeks from receival of approved drawings and deposit to final handover.

This is possibly the fastest turnaround VM Elevators have ever carried out of a total lift package to date.

 

The Ibis hotel chain owned by the French hotel group Accor has a record of 2043 hotels worldwide, with 25 of those located in London.

Ibis Styles, which is a leg of the wider Ibis family is an economy hotel, each hotel is focussed on representing and garnering the essence of its location.

Set in a trendy part of East London – Ibis Styles Walthamstow, referred to as a design economy hotel, open to creative minds, is inviting, modern and cosy.

It was a real honour for us to be the chosen providers for this project, the lift was well-received by the client upon handover of July 2022.

Buchanan Street – Glasgow

We are pleased to announce that we are the exclusive contractors for the new lift installation work at the prominent site location of 69 Buchanan Street, Glasgow, G1 3HL.

The Category B listed building is due to undergo a high-end internal transformation within 2022, which will see it house a variety of public and private amenities, benefitting from retail space, restaurants, offices and hotels.

The distinctive towering facades of the red Locharbriggs sandstone ashlar was once famously home to the longest running national newspaper in the world, The Glasgow Herald (formally known as The Herald), who set up abode there for over a century (1868-1980).

From 1836- 1964 The Glasgow Herald was owned by George Outram & Co. taking the name from the paper’s editor of 19 years George Outram and it was one of the first daily newspapers in Scotland.

Historically, George Outram & Co. the publishers of the then Glasgow Herald -went on to heavily shape its structural development and expansion.
